Highlighting ROAM Gallery Artist
Linda Bickerton-Ross - Photographer
West Coast photographer, Bickerton-Ross finds inspiration in the genres of street, documentary, and fine art photography. Sensitivity to light, beauty and the world around her lend a unique perspective to her photographic work. To achieve a unique vision, she explores and experiments with different styles and techniques that will work best for a photographic series. Prior to establishing a photographic career, Bickerton-Ross undertook formal photography studies at Focal Point, Vancouver Photo Workshops and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Her academic background also includes an Artist Diploma from the University of Toronto, a BA from Western Washington University, an MA in Administration from SFU and an Honorary Doctorate from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in 2015. Bickerton-Ross currently shows her work in juried shows at the Surrey Art Gallery, Richmond Art Gallery and the Turnbull Gallery. Her work is found in private collections throughout the Lower Mainland. Local awards for her photography include a large-scale piece selected for the Jurors’ Prize Honorable Mention at the Surrey Art Gallery in 2019. In 2020-21, Bickerton-Ross was chosen to be part of the Canada Council and City of Surrey sponsored Digital Doorways Initiative – a program that created collaborative partnerships between artists and digital experts. Until two years ago, Linda worked on an ongoing project with Melanie Watts, The Artists Among Us, interviewing and photographing artists for publication by the Surrey Arts Council.
Currently working on a Skyscapes Series, a fine art abstract project, she is pleased to offer a select few of these for sale on her Instagram and Roam Gallery sites. WEBSITE:. Bickerton-RossPhotography
